Spring Break Soccer

I am looking at organizing 11v11 and 8v8 soccer matches at Davenport University during spring break for those of you in town.  

The games would be played at 11:15am and 12:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  We will have combined age groups (u9-u11, u12-u14, u14-u17 for example) that will be dependent on the number of interested players.

The cost would depend upon the number of players interested in joining but, should be around $10 per day.

No Dribbling Class Scheduled for Tonight

We are not holding our PSA / Alliance dribbling class tonight.

Reminder No Courthouse

Just wanted to make sure that everyone understood that we will not be holding Courthouse Training tonight.  Look for an email later tonight updating this week's training schedule.

Additional Training Added

With 60 Degree weather forecasted for Wednesday, we are going outdoors for two sessions.  4:30pm-5:30pm we will hold a dribbling and control session and from 5:30pm-6:30pm we will hold a small sided session.  Both classes will be held at Douglas Walker Park on 84th Street (1 1/2 miles West of 131).  Bring a ball, cleats, and shinguards.

This is a great opportunity for kids to get their cleats on and get ready for the outdoor season.

 

Woodland Classes Cancelled Monday and Wednesday

On account of High School Soccer and Lacrosse Try-outs, Woodland is not able to provide us with our normal rental times for additional classes this week.  Please contact us if you are looking for alternative training times.

Courthouse Training Cancelled Tonight

Please note that we will not be holding courthouse training tonight and plan to run an outdoor training option for the club next week.

Super Y National Camp Blog

Increasingly, our players are becoming exposed to soccer at Regional and National levels.  These player and team accomplishments are a great sign that the proper work and preparation is being done by Alliance coaches and players.  In the past six (6) months alone, our players have attended National ODP Camps, Super Y ODP National Camp, Top Tournaments, and Super Y National Finals.  Alliance players u12-u18 are seeing soccer from a much different perspective and we feel it is important for these experiences to be shared.  If younger players have the opportunity to hear what it is like to attend a national tournament or camp, they will inevitably be more prepared for that same experience when that opportunity arises in the next few years.  

With that goal in mind, you may have noticed that for these events, we have begun to set up blogs for coaches and players to report on their experiences.  

Yesterday, four (4) of our Alliance Academy Super Y players kicked off their Super Y National ODP Camp experience in Tampa, Florida.  Maddie Pollard, Sophie Maccagonne, Sophie Rammal, and Jenna Winkel will be spending the next few days trying to get the attention of National team coaches.  A few players from each camp are invited to be a part of the United States Soccer National Team Camp.

Training Updates (Important)

Changes for Wednesday (Tonight)

u10 Girls will be training from 6:45pm-7:45pm at Excel Charter Academy.

 

Changes for Thursday

u10 Boys Black will train from 5:30pm-6:30pm at Ridge Park 

Intermediate Goalkeepers with Jessica will train from 5:30pm-6:30pm at Ridge Park

Advanced Goalkeepers with Jessica will train from 6:30pm-7:30pm at Ridge Park

u11 and u14 Girls will be training with Zsolt from 7:30pm-8:30pm (Dribbling Class).  Both groups will work on moves, turns, and control.

Dribbling Class cancelled due to the gym not being available. 

  

Nike Classic Hotel Rooms

Below, you will find the list of families who have reserved rooms for the Nike Classic Cup in April.  If your team is attending, please make sure to reserve a room by March 15th.  Rooms not held by that date will be released to other tournament teams.
